Clinton Blount is President and cofounder of Albion Environmental, Inc. He is trained in cultural
anthropology. His specializations include Native American Consultation, ethnography, and oral and land use history. Mr. Blount has been active in cultural resource management in California since 1974.
He also has a long successful record in project management and resource management planning.
Recent assignments include the following:
- Native American coordinator for the Los Osos Wastewater Treatment Project, San Luis Opsipo County, the Nacimiento Water Project, San Luis Obispo County, the Doyle Drive Replacement Project, San Francisco, the Caltrans Transportation Enhancement Activity (TEA) Districts 3 and 6, and numerous others.
- Project Manager for the preparation of cultural resource treatment plans for Santa Clara University's Ten-Year Capitol Improvement Plan. To date this includes a general and treatment plans and data recovery excavations at eight project sites.
- Oral Historian for the study of the Pacific Biological Laboratory, (Doc's Lab) on Cannery Row,
Monterey California, the Coast Dairies Project, Santa Cruz County, the Community of Pescadero, San Mateo County, and Fort Hunter Liggett, Monterey County.
- Traditional Cultural Properties Principal Investigator for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) relicense projects for Pacific Gas and Electric Company, including the North Fork Feather Hydroelectric Project, South Feather Project, Stanislaus River Hydroelectric System, De-Sabla-Centerville Hydroelectric Project, and the Pit-McCloud Project.
