Christina Spellman is a co-owner of Albion and joined the team in 2012. She earned a BA in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is currently completing her MA at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She works on projects ranging from small, private properties to large-scale urban development, identifying potentially significant cultural resources through survey, testing, and construction monitoring. She also has extensive experience mitigating impacts to significant resources through archaeological data recovery and documentation. In the lab, she helps to process archaeological materials, and is an expert in ceramic analysis and reporting. Her current research focuses on the analysis of locally-produced ceramics excavated from a California mission to better understand the complexities that intertwined Spanish colonialists and indigenous groups.
